Macerasmus goes to ASCOLI PICENO & FrittoMisto

La scoperta delle Marche continua…
Questa volta è il turno di ASCOLI PICENO. Un vero e proprio tesoro della regione Marche conosciuto come una delle più antiche città d’Italia. Una magnifica città pre-romana con architettura romana e i resti degli edifici del 14° secolo. E’ molto nota come la città delle "cento torri” e la sua famosa Piazza del Popolo è stata classificata come una delle venti più belle piazze del mondo per la sua particolare bellezza e raffinatezza. In questa piazza possiamo trovare il Caffè Meletti conosciuto come uno dei più antichi bar in Europa.
Ma non finisce qui! Il giorno della nostra visita potremmo assistere ad uno dei loro più famosi eventi dell’anno: il “Fritto Misto” dedicato alla tradizione della frittura, e soprattutto potremmo gustare le loro famose “Olive all’Ascolana”.

Per partire ci vediamo davanti alla stazione ferroviaria di Macerata VENERDI' 28 APRILE, alle 9.00. Il ritorno è previsto per le ore 20 circa.

La giornata sarà suddivisa in due momenti: appena arrivati ci sarà una guida che ci permetterà di visitare la città; successivamente, dopo pranzo avrete il tempo libero per gustare le delizie tipiche di Ascoli e del territorio circostante.

The discovery of the Marche Region continues…
Now it’s the turn of ASCOLI PICENO.  A real diamond of the Marche Region  known as one of the oldest cities in Italy. An awesome pre-Roman city characterized by the Roman architecture and by the ruins of the 14th century.
It is well-known as the city of  “one hundred towers” and its famous Piazza del Popolo was ranked one of the 20 most beautiful squares in the world for its peculiar beauty and refinement. In this square you can find the Caffè Meletti known as one of the oldest cafés in Europe.
That’s not all! On the day of our visit we will attend one of the most famous events of the year: the “Fritto Misto”. Everything will be about the fried food tradition and above all we can enjoy  the renowned “Olive all’Ascolana”.

The price is only € 16,50 including the train (round trip to Macerata).

For the departure we will meet  in front of the train station of Macerata on Friday, April 28 at 9am. Return will be at around 8 pm.
The day is divided in two parts: once arrived a tourist guide will show us the city; then after lunch you will be free to enjoy the local delicacies from Ascoli and from the surrounding area.
